my new job - 4
Hah... just like what I predicted, my fourth day would be "challenging".
And just like yesterday, I failed to scare myself because the moderator didn't turn into monster. I also didn't find joy watching him filling up the table with saliva... but well, I should commend him for his ability to please the crowd with his twinkling eyes. Thinking of sex.. hah! It didn't work neither. I got sore and tired (who would be? I guess I over did it yesterday... three hours.. hehehe). Nah... just kidding.
How did I survived the four hours ordeal? Hmm... I found an ingenious way of amusing myself.
I tried to recall how far can I remember in my childhood days. I started thinking of my 1st year in grade school - age 6, where got in trouble with a classmate because I poke my finger in her "private". As punishment, I vividly remember my father put me inside a sack, hang me on the Mango tree, and... lit a bonfire underneath. I could no longer remember what I felt that moment, but I am sure I didn't cry because I was busy eating raw peanuts. (My father grab that sack with raw peanuts inside).
Then in my 2nd grade, I got in trouble with my neighbors for stealing undies. As usual, I got not a spank from my father but.. he forced me to wear those loose undies (including a bra), and literally drag me in the street. All my friends look at me in disbelief but they all cheered and clapped their hands. Hehehe.. I beat my father on his game.
Well, it all boils down to one thing. I was a happy child for all I can recall were troubles. Tsk.. tsk.. tsk..

my new job - 3
Day three...
I just realized why in my childhood days, my teacher always had trouble with me inside the classroom - I have a short attention span. Hey... I am not referring to the ADS. I don't have it, my case is very minor and is normal!
I was bored listening to all the briefings and seemingly endless discussions. At first, I tried to join in the fray but I run out of gas and eventually lost interest. Few minutes later, I found myself fighting for a sanity to keep awake versus the urge to doze off and snore in the boardroom. Believe me it was difficult... and only after I pour in gallons of coffee when sleepy fairy went away.
The next four hours was interesting. I looked at the lifeless moderator and tried to imagine him as the devil incarnate hoping he scares me to listen to his lecture. It works for few minutes but later, I found him more of a clown than a scary creature. I tried thinking of my phone bills, my mortgage, my sinking bank account... and gee, it scares me more. Several minutes later, I been thinking of nothing else but sex... sex... and sex... until four hours passes by and it was time to say bye bye.
Huh! I wonder what will I do tomorrow?

my new job - 2
Remind me... why did I work for Computer Associates?
For the second day, I spend my working hours inside the boardroom doing brainstorming, analysis, inquiry, and verification. We dig unto files of documents containing flowcharts, standard operating procedures, manuals, and ... many more papers that I could no longer classify.
This is pretty looks like my previous job in Philcom and in Pacific.
Why did i work for Computer Associates? I wanted to be a technical guy AGAIN! but look what I am I doing?

My new job
Hmm... I was still wondering why boss has suddenly been nice to me. Few weeks ago he asked me to study on some new software suites, and yesterday he assigned me to a big project for a bank in Tampines. This will be a challenging task, he warned.
Having been working on monotonous routine for the past 10 months, I thought, this is a good break.
Too excited, today I reported to work early - my first day. Well, I didn't mind waiting for thirty minutes before my new colleagues arrive. Anyway, I enjoyed watching people passing by. The office is just located just 15 meters away from the Tampines Train Station, and just watching office workers taking part of a morning rat race was already enough to make me smile.
My new job, I realized, was to take part of a provisioning for a security management. Starting today and the succeeding days, I will be sitting down in the board room doing meetings and inquiry with our customer.
Tsk tsk tsk.. my boss was indeed right. This will be challenging!

Laksa with oysters... yummm
I was seated comfortably inside the MRT train on my way home when I felt a sudden spike of pain in my stomach. I tried to ignore it thinking, it's just gas. But i was wrong. In less than a minute, a soft rumbling started to roll all over my stomach and more than that, I started to sweat cold and my skin hair were starting to stand.
"This is bad", I thought. I had just passed by Aljunied station and there are four more station before my destination.
But the pain started to take a bite on my senses... and as soon as the station reached Paya Lebar, I jump out of the train coach and dashed like wild hyena towards the exit. And great! I couldn't find the rest room (the station was under renovation). I still have to go back to the ticketing booth and ask where the toilet is. As soon as the "uncle" pointed the direction, I turn around - forgot to say thanks - and run.
Whew, finally... success!

What had just happened?
Few hours ago, I went out to meet some friends whom I haven't seen for quite sometime. We had fun together and we decided to go out for dinner. Our choices? hmm... Laksa (a local delicacy of coconut milk & noodles) with oysters, century eggs, and prata. I devoured the century eggs and most of the laksa. And I guess that was the culprit!

Fifteen minutes later, I was on the train again. I though, I had released all the toxin in my stomach... and once again I was wrong. With just one station before my destination, that familiar pain started to hit my stomach again. No choice I have to bear all the pain and wait until I reach my station in Bedok.
Don't ask me what happen next. You guess it right, I run like a mad dog towards the comfort room.
Hah! Laksa with oysters and century eggs? Never again!
